However, I noticed several things during this last quick stay that will likely prevent me from choosing this hotel when traveling back to the East Peoria area.įirst and most glaringly, this hotel is in dire need of updates. We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the past 9 years due to the remarkable service we received when displaced by the 2013 tornado. So, make sure you take in all the smells of the room, inspect the carpets ands make sure it is clean if you must stay here. There are a couple of nice Hamptons in the area, and I will stick to the other two in the future. I am writing this review, because I certainly to not want others to experience this disgusting place. In the AM, I did complain to the front desk but all they did was apologize. As I lay down, the bed was so horribly smelly and I felt so grimy on my feet after I had taken a shower. I didn't check on the room till later in the evening, as I was at a family event and wanted to rest. Very disappointed and very far from the usual Hampton standards not to mention the uncleanliness of this place during a pandemic.

I have stayed here many times on the past but I will never return. Just disgusting and gross and a very unhealthy environment. The hallways were musty as was the stairwell. The furniture wreaked of smoke- the bed sheets smelled of smoke with a Lysol spray to try to cover up the scent. I was so wrong this time - My room was horrible. I have stayed here throughout the years, so I thought it would be fine, not your best Hampton, but most times adequate for the basic needs. While visiting friends, I stayed at the Hampton inn in East Peoria Illinois on winners way.
